It is a rainy, dark, depressing day today, but Crystal Star has lifted my spirits. Isn't she a pretty little thing? I followed Brenda's pattern, but if you look closely at the original block, the melons go all the way to the corners. Before appliqueing the melons on, I pressed the corner seams open, instead of to one side. This reducing bulk, so they lay flat.
It sure is cute! I love the fabric combo.

ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty little block. Pressing the seams open in some of the blocks to help them lie flat-- definitely a smart move. Thanks for the reminder.
