E-9

Difficulty of block: moderate (lining up bars)
Number of pieces: 35
Method used: hand piecing

The name of this block, Quilt Jail, had me wondering if it was because lines through the block made it look like the bars of a jail cell or if it had something to do with the difficulty of piecing.  I think, maybe a little of both.

What a coincidence, I was just flipping through the Dear Jane book and thought maybe I'd tackle that block next. Marijke, I only have 3 done! It's nice to see how others are doing.

I have to say, this is the most precise E-9 I have ever seen.

It looks very precise, and it's definitely not an easy block. You have a great eye for picking fabrics that look just perfect for the blocks, both in scale and color.
