D-1

Difficulty of block: easy
Number of pieces: 23
Method used: hand piecing

The name of this block is Alison's Guiding Light.  Piecing thin strips is always a little tricky and you hope they look straight in the end.

Well done! I love the red and orange combo. I made my D-1 back when I was new to quilting and DJ. It's destined for renovation because the color is all wrong and the block is beyond wonky. I was so afraid of piecing back in those days, I did it as an applique. Anyway, looking at your new block may inspire me to get going with a second try at this block.

I like these two bold fabrics together. You always select such interesting combinations, and your blocks are unique.
