Difficult of block: easy
Number of pieces: 15
Method used: hand piecing

This week's block is called Picture Perfect. But mine is not so perfect. I should have had more contrast between the two fabrics and I goofed on two of the inner blocks. They are facing the wrong way. Still, it's not so imperfect that I don't think it's beautiful!

Here it is the middle of November, the sun is shining and the morning temperature is 50 F/10 C. It doesn't get much better then that. So, outside I go, no jacket required, to feed the birds and take a picture of Kaye's Courtyard.

I found Ann's Folly a little difficult to piece. Maybe it was just my hands acting up or maybe it was all the little slivers of fabric, or a combination of both. Anyway, I managed to piece it together and it looks pretty good. I redrafted Brenda's block and eliminated four squares from the corners. To me, it doesn't look like the original pattern had squares in the corners. Because of all the wrinkles, in the original quilt, I think sometimes it looks like seam lines. I added this block to my sidebar as an Oops! block, but I may be wrong.

Field of Dreams was a breeze. I finished piecing it before I finished my cup of tea. I've listed this block as an Oops! block on my sidebar. Brenda has the center piece extending right to the outside edges. The original is set in about a quarter of an inch.

I had the Maury High School block pieced together in a blink of the eye, but it took forever to applique on the four little melons.
