I-5

Difficulty of block: easy
Number of pieces: 6
Method used: hand applique

Maria's Majesty is such a pretty design and easy to applique with all the nice soft curves. But, you must make sure you place the melons correctly. They have an inner side and an outer side. I made note of it on my freezer paper templates and then promptly forgot. Not until I was all finished did I notice that one of the three melons was placed incorrectly, or was it three of the four melons placed incorrectly? Luck was on my side. I only had to correct one melon.

Oh! So beautiful! That fabric is just perfect for this block. It definitely makes me think "majestic"! And thanks for the tip about the melons. I'll be sure to keep that in mind when I attempt mine.

I found your blog through another. Just letting you know that you had a visitor. I enjoyed seeing the blocks you are making. I like reproduction fabrics too.
