H-11

Difficulty of block: moderate
Number of pieces: 16
Method used: hand piecing

Piercing Rays gave me a little trouble. Once the center is pieced, you circle the intersection to close in the tiny hole left in the middle. I circled and circled, but still had a tiny hole. Then I circled one last time and pulled very tight on the thread and it closed. All was good. Then, I pressed my block and what reappeared? You guessed it! Once closed, my points should meet in the middle.

Oh Karen - this is difficult - it's something I'd struggle with myself - you have the benefit of being able to view all the blocks you've made so far together to 'sample' with fabrics you like - also check out other DJ top photos on the web to see what others have done
