E-5

Difficulty of block: moderate
Number of pieces: 17
Method used: hand piecing, applique

Rising Sun was a fun one to make. I rated this block as moderate difficulty, only because all seams converged at the same spot. Pressing was a little difficult because of the bulk in the middle.

I liked this block, too. Yours is very pretty. I took care of the bulk problem by cutting away the small section in back of the center circle where all the pieces met.

I have been looking through your Jane blocks. They are all so beautiful. You can really tell how much you are enjoying the process. You have quite an eye for photography too!
